Okay so I two strand twisted my hair FOUR days ago. This morning before I got the kids ready for school, I decided to take them out....FAIL. This was the worst twist out EVER!! I mean, even when I put on a headband it was still bad. The only way to save it is to wash it out lol. However, I think I may do my first wash n go today. Just a couple of minutes ago I drenched a section of my hair, applied Kinky Curly Knot Today, then some Eco Styler Gel with olive oil ( I will purchase some Kinky Curly Custard soon, you know, when I'm rich and ballin'! Budgets people, they are REAL!! lol ) So far it's looking okay. I was nervous because my hair only curls below my temples ( if that makes any sense) the top just waves. I'll have to post pictures in a few...

Waiting Game pt.2
Blah♥
okay so I two strand twisted my hair yesterday. I really want to take them down so that they can stretch out some. First day styles are always too tight for me. I think next time i'll just stretch my hair 1st, then twist it. Or blow dry it on cool. IDK I need a little help :(

Chrisette Michele...
Hi you guys♥
Epiphany time!! This usually happens when i'm cleaning. I have one or two a week, saying that, please excuse my mess if visiting :) Now what is the epiphany that I had? Well while watching my most recent favorite channel, ♥HGTV♥ and rearranging furniture, I started thinking 'Man, I wish I could get a surprise visit from HGTV. Or better yet if I win the lottery I could afford to do it myself ' Then i thought, while watching my favorite show, extreme couponing, if i could just get one of those people to show me how to coupon I would be able to help people who are hungry and can't afford food for their family or themselves. Or I would be able to send care packages to the people who help to protect our country. Because seriously I do not want to do that job, so why not find a way to help out the people who chose to go fight and protect my family, friends, and neighbors. I have military family and I would want someone to do something nice for them. Oh, back to the epiphany, soooo it just popped in my head, instead of wishing and hoping something good will happen to me GO OUT AND MAKE IT HAPPEN! So I have made a list (ok, fine after I finish typing this i'll make a list) of 5 things that I want to make happen by the end of July. I don't want to say exactly what they are at this moment but I will post after I complete each task. This should be FUN :-)

Sunday Night
Hi you guys♥
Man it's been a while since the last time I've written anything. A lot of stuff has been going on lately. I'm gonna have to leave it as "stuff" right now. Anyways it's Sunday, nothing really on tv. Well at least i don't think so. I don't really watch tv that much. I'm actually watching Kourtney and Kim take New York.... ugh, have to go. Will finish later though..

"Truth Be Told"
Hi you guys♥
Yesterday I went to an encore performance of a play titled "Truth Be Told". The play was written and directed by non other than.... MY MOMMY Sharon Freeman!!!! It was presented by the Spirit-Led Drama Ministry of Bethesda Baptist Church in Chester, Va. The first showing was at church, but this second show was held at Virginia State University (Go Trojans!) There was so many people there this time, I was so proud of my mom. The play was really good, it was about a husband and wife who are having problems in their relationships due to issues that need to be worked out with the husband. But like I said they play was GREAT. All the actors did a great job! Maybe the next performance will sell out the coliseum :) In the meantime...

The Relaxed Days....
Hi you guys ♥
These are a few pictures from my relaxed days.
I will probably be putting up more at a later date, but
these are just so you can see how long my hair was when
I was relaxing.

1/13/11 "...act like it's gum girl, cut it out"
Hi you guys♥
So I’ve been trying to go natural for what seems like to me, the longest time!! Even though I’m only 6 months post relaxer. My hair was super long when I started (a little passed waist length) but now I cut my hair, for the first time, to about shoulder length. (my mom freaked out!) I hate tangles. So one day after co-washing my hair, I cut the tangles out. Problem solved. But now lately, I feel as though my relaxed end are getting in my way. I can hear my scissors calling out to me. What to do? What to do?

Old Post...
Hi you guys ♥
Okay so I think I'm going to manually move a couple of post from my other blog onto this one. These post are usually about everyday things. Most are spur of the moment, kinda mini rants about stuff I don't understand. Disclaimer: My words are not meant to hurt or offend anyone. I'm silly, and I usually say silly stuff. Anywho, the older post will have a date in the title. In the meantime...

Waiting Game
Hi you guys ♥
Okay so this is my first post, I'm so nervous and I don't know why. As you may have already guessed this blog will be about my natural hair journey. But before I get into any of that let me tell you a little about myself... * Ahem * (que the spotlight)
Now this is a story all about how, my life got flipped turned upside down... wait, no, that's not MY story (I'm also a bit of a goof) Let's see I started getting relaxers, I wanna say around 6 years old (ugh!) When I was younger my hair was soooo thick and long that my mom didn't want to be bothered with it. So she took me to the salon where a nice lady put a chemical in my hair to make it "more manageable" (I'm looking at you relaxer!!!) Now I'm no expert at applying relaxers, but should your 1st relaxer be a virgin relaxer? Someone please respond or email me about this because I remember this lady, we'll call her Cruella De'vil for the sake of time, Miss De'vil only relaxed my roots. So I had really straight roots and the other 10-12 inches was still poofy(<--I only use technical terms in my blog people) Fast forward a couple of years, I'm still getting relaxers but now I see that they don't "take" as well in my hair. That meant more relaxers for me! My hair was still really thick, so 6-8 weeks was not an option. My mom was relaxing my hair once a month. She started doing my hair because it cost $80 to get my hair done. Even with the once a month my hair was still thick and hard to comb, so guess what... Relaxer every 2 weeks!! I thank God that I still have hair.
Now when I was about 16, I started telling my mom how I hated getting my hair done (and still do) I didn't like getting my hair relaxed because it would burn every time. I always ended up with burns on my face, I don't know how. I didn't like to have my hair curled, pressed, or blow dried. The whole salon thing just wasn't for me.
After I graduated from high school, I moved out to be closer to the university that I was attending. During this time I didn't really get relaxers, maybe 2 a year. This trend continued until i was 28 (oh wait i'm 28 now ) When I would finally get my hair done people were amazed at how long my hair was (waist length). My mom would tell people that my hair was so long because I would do anything to it. My routine was to wash my hair, blow dry, and then flat iron it. The next week I would flat iron it again, then after that it was usually a ponytail or bun.
My last relaxer was July 29th 2010 for my friend's wedding, you know what hair style I wore for that?? A BUN!! I could've keep my lil bit of new growth :) My last relaxer before that was March 2010. Anywho, I started watching YouTube videos and going to natural hair websites like CurlyNikki.com, NaturalChica.com, CollegeCurlies, too many to name. They have all helped me on my journey so far, but watching and reading got me anxious about what my natural hair would look like. So December 2010 I did a mini chop. My mom was so surprised (she told me I needed pray and should sleep on the altar lol) but she also told me that my hair looked nice. Then in January I started cutting more, and more, and more, and I Still have relaxed ends!!! By the way, since I cut it, and since I didn't pay that much attention in beauty school, I pretty much messed my hair up. It's all uneven. My fix for that, BANTU KNOTS!! They are great! Anyway as soon as I find my pictures I'll be sure to post them :) In the meantime...
